One of the biggest challenges faced by Indusface was conducting the Security Assessment for systems and applications which were hosted in a live environment. The external tests had to be carried out during non-business hours. Indusface Consultants were not allowed to carry out any attacks which could affect the availability of the applications or could corrupt the databases or systems supporting the applications. Being a financial institution conducting penetration testing exercise on their active systems and system application hosting vital and live information were in the scope for the testing during peak business hours. The exercise had to be conducted without affecting productivity of the applications and application systems, yet identifying all the vulnerabilities on their applications and application systems.
Indusface’s qualified consultants with their extensive experience/expertise in conducting Security audits were able to successfully conduct the exercise without affecting their productivity. A list of critical vulnerabilities was highlighted along with the Proof of Concept (PoC). The consultants followed globally acknowledged and renowned OSSTMM to conduct Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Assessment.
